Born and Reborn ~ Trogdor5

My creation. The first day of my life and I was not only ready but also eager as well to start training! I was one out of twelve people. Like everybody else when they are born, I was unnamed. I was sent to the field to play catch with my fellow teammates, while The Great One chose names for us all. I was named Marko. I had learned so much that first training day. I wasn’t in all that great of a mood at first but I knew my creator was studying me so I felt better towards the end of the session. At first I was embarrassed of my throwing and catching skills but after I saw everybody else, I noticed we were equally as bad. The next day I got to practice at the plate. I missed every single pitch thrown at me. Some of the others had hit one for each twenty pitched at them. I was equal with most of them.

Six weeks later I had realized I wasn’t equal. I don’t know what it was but I just couldn’t throw the ball as far as everybody else could. I would learn how to make contact with the ball but would lose most of that skill fast; so much so that I had hardly learned anything that day if it was a day of complete contact training. All the other players would make fun of me most when I got onto the track with them. After thirty seconds the three people would overlap me. I was clearly the worst player. Even the pitcher was better than me at running and batting.
I got up one day to find out something mysterious. I was made the first in the batting line-up! I was so thrilled! The trainer was soon closed without any training done at all. A few minutes later I felt a tickling sensation within my stomach. I sensed something indescribable. All my hair fell out and I grew new blue hair. I was much skinnier. My eyes changed from brown to violet. I felt my muscles grow smaller. All my baseball skills had been decreased to a certain degree. What was weird was that I felt better. I felt more potential! I could feel me slamming the ball out of the park in the near future.

I was put back on the bench and started my next training session. I went to the power cage and learned quickly. I didn’t build my arm muscles as quickly though. I couldn’t throw the ball as far anymore. Two weeks later I was probably the best hitter on the team. I was put first on the line-up again. This time I played a game. I was nervous! The first two pitches were balls. I swung at the ball for the next two times with no contact. The next pitch was swung at. I hit it, and hit it far. HOMERUN! Before I made my short journey around the bases I looked up. It was there I saw my creator, screaming “Nice one Marko!” It was then that I was truly happy. I jogged around the bases and was greeted with new faces. Instead of shame on my teammates’ faces, I was greeted with respect and awe.
